The Force1 U49C Red Heron is an excellent drone for a beginner. It has an impressive 15 minute flight time and boasts a 720p HD camera. The Red Heron also has nice features like altitude hold, one key take-off and landing and headless mode. The Red Heron was built for Force1 by the reputable RC company UDI. Both U49 models are upgraded and updated versions of the popular UDI U818A. Force1 also offers the upgraded FPV Blue Heron.
The 15 minute flight time really is impressive. Most drones this size and in this price range can’t make it 10 minutes. On top of that Force1 includes a second battery, so you get a solid half hour of flying. They also included an SD card and some extra motors as well.
The 720p HD camera on the Red Heron is better than most drones in this price range. No, it won’t compete with the DJI Phantom, but it does take nice pictures and videos. You’ll have to keep the drone stable and fly slowly to get the best videos.
The Red Heron was designed with the beginner pilot in mind. The fixed propeller guards are large and do a decent job of protecting the spinning blades from trees, walls, fingers, etc. They act as a large bumper. The disadvantage is they also catch the wind. The Red Heron isn’t well suited for windy days as the propeller guards seem to turn the drone into a kite.
The Red Heron was designed to be an entry level aerial photography drone. It isn’t a fast flyer and it doesn’t have FPV. There isn’t a dedicated flip button like there is on a lot of similar drones.

If you are looking for a durable and stable drone then we would recommend the Force1 Red Heron. It is a well-built quadcopter and is an excellent choice for a beginner.
Nothing too big, but I wish it would have a clearer camera. I would rather attach my GoPro, but that’s not an option
Honestly, for the price, you are not going to find something better. To me, that’s less than I spend on a week of dinners, so I knew this was going to give me enough enjoyment to justify the price. If faced with the decision again, I would buy this once more.
Drones and quadcopters are one of the coolest things you can buy right now but they are quite new to the market which means it can be difficult to choose the best drone for you. When you look online and in-store there are a wide range of buying choices and new ones are released all the time as the technology advances. The DJI models are the most advanced out there, especially their brand new offerings like the Phantom 4 with an Ultra HD 4K camera. Ultimately the right way to make a decision is to sit back, take some time and read through some drone reviews.
This generally depends on their weight, for example a small drone with a small battery will probably last for as along as larger drone with a high capacity one. Ultimately to increase flight time it’s a good idea to have a spare that you can swap out and get back in the skies again. It’s not unusual for the serious hobbyists to have many batteries hooked up to power supplies at a time.
If you’re just getting into flying drones then expect at some point you will have an accident and something will get broken. Don’t fret it, if you have chosen one which has many parts available then you can often get it fixed pretty easily and cheaply. Though you should also anticipate that eventually you have an engine or rotor issue which needs replacement. This happens to the best aircraft in the business so it’s perfectly logical that it can happen to yours too. If you choose one of the most popular models you will have no problems finding the parts that you need to get yourself in flight again.
Unless you are a serious hobbyist and veteran of assembling your own model boats, cars, helicopters etc then it’s better to choose a drone where the amount of user assembly is minimal. This is for your own benefit as there is less than can go wrong, it is similar to the argument people might use when comparing Macs to PCs.
It’s becoming more and more common and almost standard now that the higher end drones have the ability to be controlled from a smartphone or tablet. This is achieved by either a cellular, WiFi or bluetooth connection. At this stage it my not be ideal for all users because you may not have a smartphone with a strong enough antenna to keep a stable connection with the quadcopter. If you do some research and read reviews you should be able to easily find out whether your drone can work well with a smartphone when in flight, and your one in particular.
Of course the standard way to control the quadcopter in flight is to use an radio control handset. This has been used for many decades for RC devices and it still works very well, you won’t have problems with keeping a connection with your drone (though they are designed to come home if there is). Some people also prefer a more hardware way of controlling their flyer rather than moving their fingers on an LCD screen, it can be more intuitive.
Exclusive styling design to attract you,in the night sky you can also find the drone, let you experience the infinite pleasure.
1.Flying errors may happen after flights, a CALIBRATION and some TRIM job will fix the problem.
2.Motors may warm up up if being misused. have a 5 min break between flights to cool them down.
. Don’t bill the battery using current feedback above 1A. earn sure to disconnect the battery after charging, never overcharge.
CAMERA? WIFI FPV ?
– No, we have removed the classic camera of only 30M from the manufacture version, whoever will be satisfied using it ? And due to this change, we can offer a much a lot more affordable price to our dear customers. And it also saves vitality to expand the flying time.
The next model will come using a real HD Camera, please appearance forward to if you have interest.
What’s in the box?
It is easy to control, flies well and isn’t overwhelming to him. Some drones have too many buttons and things. This one is great for teaching him how to fly a vehicle.
Cons: Preventing overcharging and excessive releasing the battery.
Final Conclusion Drocon Scouter :
This is a drone for people who want to have fun flying without worrying about losing thousands of dollars in a crash. Honestly, for the price, you are not going to find something better. To me, that’s less than I spend on a week of dinners, so I knew this was going to give me enough enjoyment to justify the price. If faced with the decision again, I would buy this once more.

These days you will find that not only are hobbyists, amateur photographers and casual users buying drones but also professionals. These people realize just what they can offer to their business whether they are a real estate agent or work in surveillance. It doesn’t stop there though, aside from the US military there are other huge organizations that have flight plans for them. Amazon sees a future where their packages are delivered using flight and already have big plans for this with Amazon Air. Could it be that one day everything you order could be delivered by these machines?
The X5SW-V3 drone is made of durable plastic, and is robust to falls and impacts. However, if you do manage to break something, you can always order extra parts and get back to flying. The enclosed pinion gears and motors is a nice feature which prevents strands of hair or material form damaging the motor.
There are red LEDs in the front, and green LEDs in the back. The LEDs light up the legs which makes for a cool visual when the drone is taking off and landing. The landing gear legs pop in place, and there are screws that attach the legs permanently. However, the clips are pretty strong, so you could opt to remove the screws, and save a bit of weight.
Headless/IOC function. Usually, the forward direction of a flying multi-rotor is the same as the nose direction. By using Headless/IOC, the forward direction has nothing to do with nose direction. This lessens the steepness of the learning curve and allows the pilot to enjoy flight while slowly learning each specific orientation of the quadcopter.
With Wifi Camera and built-in Wifi module, you can watch what your camera sees with a live video and aerial photos in real time on your mobile device via the App. Bring a new perspective to your photos and videos from the air. Wifi FPV allows you to view photos & video while flying It supports any IOS and Android phones. The cell phone holder keeps your phone secure all the time.
The camera quality for the Syma X5SW-V3 is surprisingly clear.
The 0.3-megapixel recorder can capture amazing footage which, while isn’t HD quality, definitely surpasses expectations for its price.
There aren’t many drones on the market today that offer FPV technology for such a low price. Being able to fly the Syma X5SW-V3 with a smartphone is definitely a huge upside to this particular model.
What’s in the box?
The Syma X5SW-V3 throws many extremes into one package. On one hand, It is also one of the cheapest toy-grade quadcopters in the market that features FPV. On the other hand, its FPV feature is poorly implemented and suffers from a few drawbacks.
Great drone for beginners who wants to learn how to fly drone completely manually. Small enough to flight inside, comes with prop guards, camera and legs, which all can be dismounted to prolong flight time.
Very light, so falling on the ground (not asphalt or stones) will mostly do no damage to the drone.
